So you've got a sewing machine for Christmas, learnt how to thread it up & are keen to get started on your 1st project. This is the perfect class for you! Learn to make a tote bag or a drawstring bag & gain confidence with the sewing machine.
In this beginners sewing class you'll learn how to sew with a sewing machine & make a tote bag or a drawstring bag. By the end of the class you'll have practised various essential sewing techniques, such as French seams & gained confidence to sew independently.
Small classes, so that you get the attention that you need as a beginner.
What to bring
Machines & all sewing equipment that you need is provided. (Please let me know if you prefer to bring your own machine & don't forget to bring all the bits & bobs that came with it -pedal, power cable, instructions etc). If you need specs to thread the needle bring those too! **
Fabric is provided in the form of upcycled duvets or feel free to bring your own (please ensure that you have at least 1metre of 100% cotton fabric).
You must be able to thread and operate a machine to join this class, please see my other classes if you are unable to do so or contact me to book for a 1 to 1.

*Please note - the studio is accessed via stairs & the toilets are downstairs. There is free off street parking outside the studio.

**Please ensure that the machine is in a good working condition before bringing it to your class, I cannot troubleshoot a faulty machine, so don't bring in aunty Mauds that's been in the attic for 20 years!
