Block of 4 Improvers Sewing Classes

Join us for regular sewing classes designed for sewists of all abilities. A chance to make new friends & improve your sewing skills with the help of a sewing teacher to progress through different projects.

These claasses are perfect for anyone who wants to challenge themselves with a new skill or technique, maybe you haven't sewn for a long time & want to meet regularly with like minded people.

The classes are free-style with everyone making something different, so you can sew whatever you like, at your own pace, with guidance from me when you need it.

Here are some of the things you may need help with, depending on your patterns.

• Reading & understanding a pattern, different tracing techniques & sizing.

• Fitting & grading between sizes

• Inserting Zips, buttons & buttonholes

• Darts, tucks, pleats & gathers

What to bring

Your pattern, fabric, thread & any other haberdashery required for the pattern you're working on (this includes but is not exhaustive: interfacing, zips & buttons).

You are also welcome to bring your own sewing kit & sewing machine too, if you prefer, but I have all the sewing equipment that you will need to complete a project, including machines, overlockers, irons & other tools.

These are perfect classes to join if you have completed any of my beginners classes & want to continue learning. There’s no pressure to come every week - I understand that you may be ill or have other commitments & holidays & I’m happy for you to come at different times or days, so long as you let me know when you’re coming, (within the allocated times of Tuesdays 10am-1pm/Wednesdays 6-8.30pm/Thursdays 10.30-1.30pm).
